How to Select a Belt Size:

Generally, to determine your belt size with a prong buckle like in the image, you should add two inches to your pant’s waist size.

To really narrow down what size of belt to order, use a belt that fits you the best and measure from the belt hole you're using right now to where the leather wraps around the buckle, as an example if this measures 38 inches you should order a belt size 38. Just for information, the full length of the belt will be longer than 38 inches.
How to Select a Belt Size

Normally for plaque buckles you should reduce the length by whatever the width from the buckle bar to the pin of the buckle is.

Every belt has a double snap closure with 5 holes, the buckle should fit in one of the three middle holes of your belt.

Why should one consider buying Bronco handmade belts?

We handpick high grade Belly Caiman Crocodile skins which go through a process of meticulous craftsmanship to turn into top notch quality Bronco handmade belts. We do not select very large skins due to the fact that the larger the crocodile skin, the thicker and stiffer it tends to get. Our belts are 10-11 ounces in thickness, and feel incredible around your waist. The customer may request a belt of any softness or thickness.

Only the utmost quality is ensured down to even the smallest detail. For example, special Italian paint is used to touch up the edges of our belts. Some of the guys are well experienced and have been producing belts for 20-25 years. Our belts will age gracefully, acquiring a burnished look over time and our prices are more economical than most of our competitors for the quality we offer. Bronco signature handmade belts are proudly produced in the great state of Texas.

Please note that the characteristics of the skin, such as texture and color may vary from belt to belt, so the displayed image is just an example of the skin. This is the elegance of the genuine exotic skin, as opposed to manmade imitations.

Characteristics of Belly Caiman Crocodile Skin:

Crocodile skin truly embodies luxury and is used by high caliber brands around the world. It is known for being one of the most durable exotic hides. In the scope of global leather production, it is rare and it requires special craftsmanship to achieve high quality goods, so when you purchase a crocodile belt from a reputable company you are truly getting a luxurious product.

Caiman Crocodile Facts:

The Caiman Crocodile can be found within Central America, South America and some parts of the Caribbean. Caiman crocodiles are habituated to both freshwater and some salt water environments. Since crocodiles only need to partially submerge themselves, both shallow and deep waters provide an adequate habitat. This specific species of crocodiles can grow anywhere from 1.5 meters to 2.1 meters, as they are small to medium sized creatures. Furthermore, they typically feed upon prey during the nighttime. In terms of appearance, the adults retain a dark olive color, along with come black or yellow cross bands.

The conditions of tropical regions are ideal for crocodiles since they are cold-blooded and cannot produce their own heat. Crocodiles adjust to periods of cold or drought through the process of hibernation. They feed upon birds, crustacean, frogs and fish. Since crocodiles cannot break down their food into smaller pieces, they use their powerful jaws to crush prey and swallow them whole. Crocodiles are excellent swimmers, able to hold their breath for up to an hour, reaching speeds of 20 mph.  The lifespan of each crocodile depends on its species, some live up to 30 years of age while others reach 75 years of age.

Differentiating between Crocodiles, Caimans, and Alligators:

Crocodiles, alligators and caimans all fall under the scientific order, Crocodylia, but belong to different families. Crocodiles belong to the Crocodylidae family, while alligators and caimans belong to the Alligatordae family. Alligators can be found in the Southeastern part of the U.S., especially in Florida and states that lie along the Gulf Coast, as well as in China. Caimans are located in South and Central America. Crocodiles are found in the Americas (North, Central and South), as well as Australia, Africa, and some regions of Asia.

A key distinguishing feature of crocodilians is their snout. Crocodiles have V-shaped snouts that are more narrow. Alligators and caimans have U-shaped snouts that are wider. The difference between their snouts is a result of their diet. Crocodiles’ V shaped snouts allow them to prey on fish, while alligators’ U-shaped snouts help them crush the hard exteriors of snails and turtles. Caimans are the smallest among the crocodilians. However, the black caiman is an exception, reaching a length of over 20 feet.

Crocodiles have equally sized upper and lower jaws, so their teeth are visible when their jaws are interlocked. However, alligators have a wider upper jaw, so their teeth are not visible when their jaws are interlocked.

In terms of size, alligators can grow to be as long as 10-15 feet and can weigh 500 pounds on average. On the other hand, crocodiles can be as long as 14-17 feet and can weigh a whopping 2,200 pounds. Crocodiles are generally seen as more aggressive than alligators.

While both alligators and crocodiles live in both freshwater and saltwater, alligators have less efficient salt glands so they do not tolerate saltwater environments as well as crocodiles. Both alligators and crocodiles are good swimmers and use their tails to navigate though waters. While under the water, both creatures are able to hold their breath for up to an hour. Not limited to water, alligators and crocodiles can run on land at a speed of 11 mph.
